On December 15, at the initiative of Uzavtosanoat JSC, an Open Day event was held at the premises of Sergeli-avtotexxizmat LLC in Tashkent. The event, organized in honor of December 9—International Anti-Corruption Day—aims to strengthen the principles of openness and transparency in the automotive industry, develop constructive dialogue with the public, and foster a zero-tolerance attitude toward corruption.
Along with car buyers and maintenance service customers, the event was attended by specialists from UzAuto Motors JSC, representatives of the official Chevrolet dealership network operating throughout the country, government officials, including M. Rasulov, an employee of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, employees and students of the Law Enforcement Academy, students of the Turin Polytechnic University, and representatives of the media.
During the open dialogue, Uzavtosanoat JSC and UzAuto Motors JSC presented participants with practical tools aimed at minimizing corruption risks and increasing the transparency of customer transactions. Specialists provided a detailed explanation of procedures covering contract execution, payment processing, and the provision of service and warranty services. Key measures highlighted included the introduction of a customized QR code in the updated sales contract, allowing the buyer to instantly verify all transaction details. It was also confirmed that documents such as invoices are now issued electronically, and relevant government services are accessible through the my.gov.uz portal.
Participants were provided with detailed information on potential issues that arise when purchasing a car, mechanisms for filing complaints in cases of illegal demands or pressure, and the complaint review process.
During the question-and-answer session, responsible officials addressed questions on current and newly adopted legislation, providing comprehensive and well-reasoned answers. Participants were also encouraged to effectively utilize the Open Day format to submit inquiries and suggestions regarding questions or issues that arose during the vehicle purchase process.
Furthermore, participants learned about the operations of Sergeli-avtotexxizmat LLC and had the opportunity to observe vehicle maintenance processes firsthand.
Following the event, participants were reminded that vehicle purchases and service must be conducted exclusively within the established order and legal procedures, and that any acts of corruption, illegal demands, or attempts at pressure must be immediately suppressed, and inquiries must be directed through official channels.
