An open day was organized at the Asaka plant of UzAuto Motors JSC as part of the Anti-Corruption Month on the occasion of December 9, International Anti-Corruption Day. The event was attended by the head of the Justice Department of the Asaka district of Andijan region I. Ergashev, senior operational representative of the criminal investigation department of the district Internal Affairs Department Captain B. Sattarov, students of the Andijan State Technical Institute, students of the Asaka Mechanical Engineering and Transport College, heads of dealerships and representatives of the media.
At the beginning of the event, General Director of UzAuto Motors JSC Yanosh Kovach provided information about the work being carried out in the company to combat corruption and the position of society in this regard. He emphasized the importance of international corruption indicators, ratings and their significance, in particular, strengthening the position in these ratings at a time when Uzbekistan is joining the World Trade Organization. According to him, Uzbekistan ranks 121st out of 180 countries in the global anti-corruption ranking, scoring 32 points on a 100-point scale.
After that, Niyozbek Boymirzayev, Chief Compliance Officer, made a presentation on the results for the first 9 months of 2025, providing detailed information on the company's anti-corruption policy and the effectiveness of the work carried out in this area. It was noted that over the past 3 years, a positive result of 86 points was achieved in the rating maintained by the Anti-Corruption Agency, and 8 policies, 4 procedures, 2 methodologies, regulations, instructions and 1 code were developed during the activity.
It was also noted that 41 compliance officers were trained online at the law enforcement academy and received certificates, and about 400 counterparty organizations were inspected by the compliance service, 28 of which were given negative conclusions and the process was suspended. It was noted that the types of corruption risks were explained to employees and their analysis was carried out in five areas.
During the event, it was also noted that the process of preventing conflicts of interest, maintaining declarations, notifications and registers was completely digitalized, and employees were regularly trained in compliance policies, methodologies and instructions. It was reported that an artificial intelligence system is planned to be introduced next year, which will serve to identify counterparties, reduce corruption risks and fully digitize processes.
Representatives of regional law enforcement agencies also spoke and provided information about the work to reduce corruption, strengthen public control, and improve the regulatory and legal framework. The head of the Asaka district Justice Department, I. Ergashev, spoke about the content of the legislation on corruption and changes in practice, while a representative of the internal affairs department explained to the youth about the types of corruption.
At the end of the event, the participants received detailed answers to their questions from the officials.
